also, how many times have many of us listed on the Bistro with these words "I JUST bought this but I just FOUND MY DREAM ring"...

chances are...prior to finding the "dream ring" the item listed on Bistro I refer to above was the "dream thing".

Am I making any sense? :0)

I want the ring...but I want a diamond that I can start trading up without experiencing losses on the secondary market. I want both... gah!!!!!!!!!

This is an idea... but I think the ring would look best with a diamond or diamond sim. BeMyValentine do you agree?

Diamond or sim or moissy, a colored stone wouldn't look good in there, IMO anyway.

Can you show us the setting? Is is a designer piece? Cannot it not be remade later to fit a stone that you can afford? That is what I would do. I would buy the diamond, peandant it for now, later trade it up, and then build the dream setting for the stone you have.

ok, I used my sleuthing skils...Does it hold a 9.5mm stone?? If so, I would hold off and have it remade to fit my own stone later.

eta: never mind, buy the setting, but only IF you can work out what you will put in there.
