Oh no!! eek

Does that mean you can't/won't buy it? Or just that Leon is being all crabby pants and you will have to find someone else?

BTW.....now that I know Leon is involved, I'm totally dying to see lol!!

I am not surprised he won't modify. Sorry he was rude to you though. But don't sweat it, laugh it off, it is LM, Lord of the Gems. wink He has been rude to countless people, so don't take it personally.

He wasn't just rude.

He said that they had no right to re-sell his ring.

He told me that no other designer would ever swap the stone on their ring.

I said they already have for me, including his competitor.

He asked who, I wouldn't release his name.

Then he basicallly said he didn't believe me and asked why he would do it because it doesn't make them any money.

I said yes it did, I paid him for his services and I'm having him make me a matching band and I'll come back to him again and again for other projects in the future and send others to him as well.

He said he didn't need my business and that he had plenty of other customers.

At that point I told him he needed some TACT but that I was sure he has heard that before.

His response was that he was going to pretend he didn't hear that.

There are other things he said in the conversation that were worse than that but not directed towards me, but I'll have to listen to the call again to make sure I heard correctly. I'll have to consult my father who is an attorney on whether or not I should post that part, but I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with posting the truth, especially when I have a recorded converation to prove it.

I am not sure about any of the legalities about it, but he may make his customers sign something about not selling his pieces, but offering them back to him first.

I am am sure you could find someone to swap it, but then it isn't a true LM anymore.

Quite frankly, he said he would like to sue. He said he would LIKE to, I don't think it was a threat and he nothing to sue about, he said himself that the ring is not copyrighted, but he's the one who wanted to take it there.

If I bought that ring I would just think of that conversation and want to smash the ring.

I hold grudges, never forgive, never forget.

If he and I cross paths in another situation, I won't help him.

And businesses DO approach me for help all the time. It's what I do. I'm in business finance and investing.

Hopefully he will never need our services or ever be in position to bring on investors, but... we shall see.

I cross paths with old associates all the time and I've been able to save companies or...

He is an artist who probably has clients sign papers committing to no resale of his goods.

After all is said and done you are hoping to destroy his buisness and name. That doesn't set right with me.

I don't think it dose well to dwell in the past or hold grudges. For me when something doesn't work out it just means that it wasn't meant to happen. Its OKAY to be angry and I understand your disappointment and I understand that you are upset about being treated poorly but I really think you should count it lesson learned and move on to the next big thing. I know its hard because I've been there- trust me.... If you want to talk via pm to vent or anything I'm here for you lady! :hugs:
