So happy you decided to get it! Its gorgeous, and I agree...Leon who? Don't let him ruin how you feel about the ring! So glad SK will work on it, he seems like a great person to deal with.

If I see a stone for this ring I will let you know!!!

8.7 x 8.6, give or take a few .1 mm. SK can replace the basket and prongs to accommodate anything I want, but if I want to try to maintain similar proportions and similar look, I'm thinking something in the 8.5 x 8.5 range to 8.7 x 8.6, or something there abouts.

Maybe even a custom cut yellow OMC sapphire?

Yes, that is what I was thinking, a sapphire would be gorgeous.

I found a pink paraiba tourmaline that would be gorgeous in that, but it's too big. Not sure you even like pink, lol, but I was considering an alternative to the sapphire I'm getting, because...I don't know, just cuz, lol. 8.5 in a cushion shape is a nice size in a diamond, or light stone. It'll look great, whatever you do. smile Oh and I suggest sticking with a calibrated size, like an 8.5 vs 8.6-8.7 to make a switcheroo easy later on when the AVC come available. wink Unless, of course, you don't want to alter it now, but rather later on to make sure it fits the Amora perfectly. Remember, Kanga's Amora OEC didn't come exactly at 8mm...

I was out all day, so I am happy to come home and see that you made a decision wink And that you aren't going to put a round in it, lol. That setting is so perfect with a cushion. love

Congratulations on getting the ring KJMM!! I am so glad the issue is resolved.

I agree with flash frenzy, what about pink? I just got myself an 8.5mm peachy pink cushion moissy and was trying to get it set in that setting (graduated french cuts etc), but I couldn't make it work in my budget.

I think pink would be awesome!

I'll most likely put something in there as a place holder, and look for a light yellow OMC that I can afford that fits, light yellow being more in my price range.

You know what keeps gnawwwwing at me in the back of my mind? That Micheal Bay light yellow OMC diamond you and I almost bought would have fit and looked great. It's gone again, maybe if it comes back again and the stars align in terms of funds and price, that will be the one.

ahh yes i still think about that one....
