'I've had two rings before. The ones that were stolen.

Okay, so I came here looking for an alternative to my stolen engagement ring and wedding band and got totally sucked in to all the talk about czs. I've ordered a few stones from Chris CZ and some ebay settings for the stones. I also ordered this ring from an ebay seller for only $10. It is much nicer than these pics show but I have no time to retake them.

What do you think? Be honest, please. I am worried about looking too fake and obvious. I've never been a jewelry wearer but now that I've found this forum I think I will be.

I don't think it looks obviously fake at all, however, I don't know how long it will stay nice given the $10 price tag. Rounds with baguette sides are one of my all-time favorite combos.

I think that for 10 bucks, you SCORED! Great job. I wouldn't bank on the CZ lasting for long given the price, but who knows? The important thing is that you love it, and even if it isn't durable for the long haul and needs replacing sooner than you'd hoped, what the hey, it was only 10 bucks.


It happens to the best of us. There's some sort of virtual water here that we end up drinking. I just spent a couple hundred on earrings today, and I haven't bought a pair of earrings in 26 YEARS! (Of course, that was precisely the justification I used for the purchase.)

I think it looks great! I have a similar setting with a moissy center (6 prong), diamond sides, and set in platinum aaaand I can't really tell a difference except for that my moissy isn't as pretty as your cz. It's an old school moissy circa '02.

The new ones came and I love them! Honestly, for as cheap as these are, I might just stick with these and forget about trying to ever get anything "real."

I was also thinking about switching out the stones with something better? Any thoughts on that? I ordered a bunch of Chris cz stones because they have such a good rep here. I bet I could switch the out myself.
