Maybe an inner halo to make it a smaller opening for the stone?

Oh OLIVE!!!! I am so excited for you!! I have seen that setting before, (deep voice) AND I LOVE IT!! I totally think that you could rock that size stone. My asscher from Berricle is a 9mm and I've totally gotten used to the size--so much that I hope that my 8mm OEC won't seem too small! lol I think that your setting is screaming to be set with an ACC! You can go Asha or Wink, you won't be disappointed, promise.

Jezebel, excellent idea. He did write back and say he would do a custom bezel piece around my stone and set it in the ring.

I like the halo idea better I think. Even thought I love bezel settings, I not really sure that is the way I want to go with this.

Sorry to keep asking - but what do you think?

Southern - I'm all confused! lol I will make this work I think. Whether I rock it out or make a modification, I really feel I will love this. I didn't even get the ring yet which is just stupid...I should at least try it on lol.

Holy Cinderella, Olive, that is one beautiful setting!!! I think I also like the inner halo idea rather than a bezel, in my humble-bumble opinion
