I haven't posted pictures of this one before, and since the weather was nice enough to take good outdoor shots the other day, I finally got some good pictures of this beautiful 13.5 x7mm RLY marquise ring we did last summer. A "perfect" marquise has a 2:1 ratio (the length "should" be two times the width of the stone), but I like them a little bit on the chubby side. Excuse the desperately-in-need-of-a-manicure nails, and enjoy the pics!















I wear my Grace on a daily basis with the Roseco 2.5mm micropave band, but this is my fun ring.

I do like marquise diamonds! VERY MUCH! I also prefer them chunky-chunkier even than that. My perfect dimensions would probably be more like 12x7. Probably because I'm not very leggy myself. It's beautiful!

I got engaged with a marquise (albeit a teeny tiny one) so I think I will always have a sweet spot for them.

I like them! I like fat ones though and east to west setting. I'm afraid of the point. I saw that on the Facebook fan page and wondered if it was a diamond.

I love chubby Marquise diamonds. The hubster calls them footballs.

I love my wedding ring... You and wink did such a beautiful job, I get compliments daily.. I can't say thank you enough.

If this one was any fatter it would look like a football. Doing it just a quarter-mm larger than the perfect proportion gave it enough width to not have that skinny marquise look that I don't like. Plus, it was the largest marquise head on Stuller that I could find!

When choosing a fancy shape like the marquise or pear, it's wise to find a head first, and then order the stone so you don't have to do a custom head.

I don't love marquise stones, but that is very pretty!
