I know I'm being a little drama/anxious pregnant lady, but I think maybe at this point the best thing to do is just accept that some things can't be helped and seek out another way to my ring. I do wish WF was more accommodating with setting outside stones. I'd gladly pay the price difference to be getting exactly what I want.

I totally understand,...I agree with you on communication,...I have been frustrated too,..and thats why I finally called and asked what was going on.
Just so you know,.I told him if he gets sick like this,..and does not have his assistant,..he NEEDS to communicate with his clients about it!!!! Cuz that is what you should do!!
So I gave him a few knocks in the head...lol

When things slow down for him, ge gets over his flu, and he gets his assitant back, I'm sure he will be able to give everyone more attenion. The quality is top notch and his prices, UNBEATABLE. I feel really bad that lately he has not been able to be his usual self--his communication is usually excellent.

I'm in OC, so I was going to take my kids up to LA and meet with David to pick up my ring (I wanted to see it first before I paid) and he was more than accommodating. We were going to meet in Beverly Hills on Rodeo, but my kids ended up deciding not wanting to make the trip, so he overnighted the package instead. He was totally cool about me cancelling and I got my ring right away, and I think the ring so gorgeous!

I hope you guys can forgive him, this really isn't how he usually is!

I wasn't trying to slam the guy... I just don't like sending hundreds of dollars worth of stones into the abyss with no clear communication. I feel like most people wouldn't. He did e-mail me and say he'd pick the stones up today, so until I hear that they are in his shop I will play the waiting game. *Deep breath*

ETA: He does seem really nice, and I have NO problem with illness, being overwhelmed with orders. No business is 100% smooth all the time. Just let me know so I'm not thinking the worst, that's all.

One lesson I learned for me..
I am never using USPS for important stuff like my rings and stones again!! Their tracking SUCKS!!
They just dont update the tracking like fed X and ups does!!
