Not good at surprises...

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this board after my lovely girlfriend told me she wanted an Asha engagement ring. I was even luckier when I read all the wonderful things everyone had to say about a man named David Klass. Long story short, he agreed to make the perfect ring for me! The problem now is that I am horrible at surprising my girlfriend! She always knows I'm up to something, and her friends are even worse than I am. So I decided I have to post on here because everything I read is so supportive and I need some reassurance that I'm doing good and to keep my mouth shut. I do not have David's design yet, but I do have a picture of the ring he is modeling it after... http://www.jamesallen.com/designer-engagement-rings/meno-collection-by-danhov/ring/item_294-7642.aspthoughts? I purchased a 2ct H&A Asha for the center stone, and David is going to make a wedding band to go with it. She loves the halo look, but hates how so many people she knows have one. I thought this would be close enough and unique enough... Ahh... I hope I did good!

Pretty!!! I think that is a great choice for a halo-esque setting that is super unique. It is like a scaled down version of Brad Pitt's ring to Jennifer Aniston. Your girlfriend will love it!! So yes, keep your mouth shut She will love the surprise and it will be amazing!

You did good!!!!! That ring is absolutely beautiful, so unique I am sure your lady will be thrilled. So great that you have taken into account the style she loves and then making it unique to her. She is one lucky lady

I'm so happy you all are up this late (or at least late where I am). I am relieved with the positive feedback. I was starting to over-think it, I think, that it was too different.
@jcent... I can honestly say I have never seen Aniston's ring, but I can't imagine that is a bad comparison :-)
@RaiKai... excuse my ignorance but what is weddingbee?

@jcent... that is some major bling! Definitely a little out of my price range ;-p
And thank you for saying that about the gap, I wasn't sure how I feel about it. David offered to put a swirl in the band so there wouldn't be one, but as my girlfriend works with children, I have a feeling she will often be wearing the band alone, so I thought a straight band would be best.
@Joyce... thank you! I tend to like the plain and simple, and I was worried my taste wouldn't have enough bling for my gf. I like when the side stones and pave don't take away from the center though.

I'm one of the few that doesn't like the fussiness of a halo, but I think your choice is beautiful, feminine, and I'm sure she will be thrilled. Please be sure to post pics once you have the completed ring, and it's on her finger. We can never have too many pics.......
