Does everyone know who Marjorie Johnson is? She's "The Cookie Lady," the tiny little 90-year-old spitfire who frequents Jay Leno and other talk shows with her award winning baking.

Marjorie is my neighbor, and although I see her here and there, I don't know her personally. We crossed paths in the grocery store today and she asked me to reach some stuff for her. Seriously, her chin barely clears the shopping cart handle.

As I retrieved items for her, she said of my ring, "Oooooh, that's the most beautiful diamond I've ever seen! It's so BRIGHT! I love to see a young girl (ha - I'm 46) spoiled the way she should be." I asked her if her husband bought her nice jewelry, and she waved her hands at me, rolled her eyes, and said, "Heavens, no! And look at all the baking I've done for that man!" Then she slapped her own knee and laughed out loud.

I so love these kinds of delicious little moments in life, and thought you all might get a smile out of it, too.
