Comparing it to a D color cz is bound to make it look its yellowest. I don't think it looks that much warmer than your diamond, which is beautiful by the way Agreed. In fact in one or two of the photos it looks whiter than your diamond. If you really are unhappy, could you send it back with a request to exchange it for a whiter Amora? Thanks for the comment,Vanillabeanz. I dont know if there is a whiter one. I thought all the stones (amora moissy) should have the same color if they are same size and shape. Some do turn out whiter than others, maybe because of where they start at and how well the treatment works. A few people on these forums seem to have got whiter ones. Even some unenhanced are whiter than others. What colour grade did he certificate say?

I'd bet if you brought yours into a jewelry store with their fancy lighting you'd have the same experience. Remember too that stones are graded UNSET. You'll see more color in a stone out of a setting than you will in, unless you were to set it in yellow prongs to play up the yellow. I'd bet that stone is the same grade as your diamond, if not an H. I would say take it to a jewelry store, or to a home depot. Watch it perform, even unset, next to the diamond in that lighting and see what you think. You have time to think about it. Don't feel rushed. Yes, jewelry store's light is very tricky. I will go to a home depot to see how it looks there! Thanks for the advice. Actually I was kind of hoping that I could be able to pass it off as a diamond and I thought warm color would help look more "real" because 2 ct is very big on my hand, it would be so fake if it were D/E/F color. I've seen some people with this size or even bigger around here in my town and my husband could afford it if he has to, so it's kind of believable size though. But I'm not sure about the cut. It's just very different and if they see "a black flower shade" in the stone they might notice it's not a diamond. Do you think it's hard to pass off my square amora as a diamond? (I know some of you guys with RB do that.)

I dont wanna be "a difficult customer", but if it's possible I'd love to ask them to pick whiter one. Is there anyone who received a whiter one after requesting/sending back ?

I personally love the warmth. After years of playing with cz, moissanite and diamond I don't think I would want a D color diamond. It's defintely a personal preference. I do agree that in some of your pictures it does not seem yellow at all. I have a J color EC diamond and sometimes I can really see the warmth and other times it seems quite "colorless". However the warm I see is never as "yellow" as when the stone was loose. I totally understand. I wish I could have ordered the ring with the stone as a ready to wear. People say it would be less yellow when it sets, but it's hard to imagine. (I had to order a loose stone first because my order would be a special order and non-returnable.) I just wanted to make sure if I would be happy with amora, but what happened was, it's like I'm "trying" to love it. I mean, I love what it is as a moissy, I love the look and cut as a moissy, but I have a feeling that I wont be able to pass it off as a diamond, and what I really wanted was a diamond-look-replacement for my e-ring that people can believe...

I would give it a few more days, if you are not really happy with it I would send it back. That is too much money to spend on something you are not in love with.
I know exactly what you mean about the cut. I am not in love w/ the round cut moiss. which is a similar cut.
You may want to try a cushion, great cut, very diamond like, better color, and has a squarish shape.
Yes, almost $2000 on a ring with a created stone is expensive for me unless I totally love it. I've bought Tiffany's 3stone ring with diamonds and a sapphire in platinum for almost same price on ebay.(Not brand new though!) I am a stay at home mom and I dont make much money now. I just cant waist the money. I have read something about a cushion cut. Someone who wanted a princess cut decided to go with a cushion and she loved it. Sounds like I must try it! I have never seen a cushion cut, even diamond, though. I picked square cut just because my diamond's shape on the e-ring is "square", if it were RB I would have picked RB.
