that ring is to die for! I say buy it, and when you look at it you'll not only see a gorgeous ring, you'll also know that you're wearing it against his express wishes and making him have a hissy fit- which will make it even better I say he pissed you off, well nothing will piss him off more than you getting it and having someone else improve it!

He wasn't just rude.
He said that they had no right to re-sell his ring.
He told me that no other designer would ever swap the stone on their ring.
I said they already have for me, including his competitor.
He asked who, I wouldn't release his name.
Then he basicallly said he didn't believe me and asked why he would do it because it doesn't make them any money.
I said yes it did, I paid him for his services and I'm having him make me a matching band and I'll come back to him again and again for other projects in the future and send others to him as well.
He said he didn't need my business and that he had plenty of other customers.
At that point I told him he needed some TACT but that I was sure he has heard that before.
His response was that he was going to pretend he didn't hear that.
There are other things he said in the conversation that were worse than that but not directed towards me, but I'll have to listen to the call again to make sure I heard correctly. I'll have to consult my father who is an attorney on whether or not I should post that part, but I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with posting the truth, especially when I have a recorded converation to prove it. Wow. Just - wow. He really threw a major hissy fit. Classless. He could've said what he needed to say civilly and without such an attitude.

I hold grudges, never forgive, never forget.
If he and I cross paths in another situation, I won't help him.
You are my warrior soul sister. I am the same way. My family tells me it's not good, but I can't help myself. I understand what you're feeling completely.

Oh yes, sorry! I thought by now everyone had figured out which one it was. Since it's on hold for me at GOG and there's no danger of someone sniping it, it's Wintotty's ring (soon to not be a Leon Mege anymore once I or someone else swaps the stone): One of my favorite PS rings!! You should get it and have it modified by SK or VC - it will still be a stunning piece.

OMG, that is such a beautiful ring. I wish I could buy such things. So, okay, don't think I'm stupid, but are you replacing the center stone or the side stones along with the center stone?

Get the ring my dear! Have someone else modify it and give LM a call and tell him that it's MUCH better now Just kidding, don't do the second part.... Maybe summarize your experience in vendors to avoid forum? I think it would be appropriate because he was supposed to be your vendor. I'm surprised that pissing his wealthy clients hasn't gotten him in more trouble already. Go get him girlfriend! Edit: I'm trying to put myself in your shoes. If a vendor called me a liar or said he would like to sue me I would give him an ear fulllllllllllll. Or I would freeze up in shock and awe and then think about it for days, "awww I should have said this or this!" I'm the type who would just freeze in total shock and then kick myself for not thinking of snappy comebacks that would come days later. Unfortunately, things like this haunt me for the rest of my life, so I can't just shrug it off. Wish I could be like some of you I've read who say that you would just go on after a day or two of stewing in anger.
