Long time listener, first time caller.
I am about to take the plunge and purchase an Amora Moissanite for the setting I am about to have made. Only I have run into some problems and thought you lot might have some solutions...

Here is my problem: BTD are out of stock of the size I was after, so I decded to give moisanniteCo a shot, and they did (do) have it in stock. Great, or so I thought.

Unfortunately their payment system is unable to process payments where the billing address of the card is located in a different country to the shipping address - Not an uncommon occurance I would have thought!

So I looked into the PayPal route - but they (mCO) will only ship the stone to the billing address on the card. Not useful to me.

Unfortunately I do not have a card from the USA, and therefore moisanniteCo are unable to take my business.

I guess my question is: who else is a reseller for Amora Moissanite - and who do you trust the most? Any and all suggestions welcomed!

Does schubachs have any? They are very trustworthy.

Schubachs does not. But Poppyseed with Amcor or Wink/Melissa can get BTD stones, sp perhaps they have what you need in stock. Worth an email anyway

So, you live in the USA and have a foreign card, is that right?

I believe they can accept the card with a billing address in a different country because I DID it. I live in the states, so shipping address is here in the states, and I used my VISA card which has a foreign billing address and there was no problem. If your situation is same as me, why dont you contact them on email?

Not at all - bang on. I tried contacting them via the live online help, and the experience was... Let's just say tone gets lost when it's just text on screen - but the bottom line was as good as 'well that looks like its not going to work, sorry about that - have a nice day'

Now, I want to give them my money and I understand that my problem is a very very small portion of of their income, but it was rather surprising - after all, my cards work fine on Amazon and Ebay (i tested: i bought items off each while talking to the live help!)

I have sent off some emails this morning (they also don't seem to have a phone number, which is of concern..) Unfortunately the stone I was after sold shortly after. Chrushing defeat!

I am a little confused.

I buy things with my card that has a billing address in Canada at one address, and have had them shipped either to a different address in Canada OR to an address in the US. I have never had things shipped to the billing address on my card.

I thought it was ONLY if you pay via PayPal your shipping address has to match your billing address?

I almost never have things shipped to the billing address on my cards. You are right - it is supposed to be only paypal that shipping has to match the billing.

However, in this case - the online help with moissaniteCo has told me, that its because the address are from different countries (not just different addresses) that seems to be tripping their payment system up. That seems fishy to me, but who am I to question!

having been on all sides of this sort of situation, i can add that depending upon the credit card processor used by any given company, some of them are more sensitive to potential fraud than others.

not that i'm suggesting that is what this is, please understand!

but some credit card processors will flag transactions where the billing/shipping addresses are different (especially if they're in different countries) as fraud and will not process the order.

it may simply be something that MoissaniteCo has no control over, if it is done at the credit card processor level.

None taken at all! Thats exactly how i feel about it (also having been in and around both sides)

I would hate for this thread to be mistaken for a grump at MoissyCo - they have a system, and for better or worse, I can't use it .To add - I wish i could. I read a lot of good things about them on this forum and I am keen to give them my business.

I was merely curious about other distributors of Amora outside of BTD and MoissyCo.
