Hi my sparkle family!

So, awhile back I hinted that I had news that I couldn't share just yet. NOW I CAN!!! So excited. (Kanga, you thought I might be pregnant, but nope. No dice. LOL. Maybe next year, we'll see.)

Anyway, George is modest and would never admit it, but he's been doing amazingly well at work. In January, he got pulled aside at work by a Chief, and asked if he would be possibly interested in a military posting in the USA! He said yes, and then they officially offered it to us later that week. We had to do a tonne of screening to be sure we were all medically, mentally, emotionally and financially fit for the posting... but somehow, as crazy as we are, WE PASSED!

George didn't want to jinx it until we had the official paperwork... but it's in so now I get to share with my whole sparkly family!!!! We are moving from the insanely cold winters of Ontario... to Hawaii!!

I have been doing happy dances all day!

We're posted to Oahu. I know there are some US military spouses on here... has anyone been posted there? I know some of you ladies have mentioned visiting HI before, and have favourite places to visit there... so please share away!!! I'd love some tips!

We're going absolutely nuts with the legal paperwork to be completed in the next few months... so an online 'chat' about the fun things to look forward to would be grand! Even if your favourite place to visit there is Maui or something, please share your opinions! We plan to visit each of the other islands at least once during our posting.

I'm dreaming of the sun now! and some gorgeous new sparklies to shimmer under that sun! LOL!

Yippeeeee! Many huge congrats! I'm sure you will adore not shovelling snow in the winter. I bet you won't even miss it. LOL! And I'm sure your sparklies will be blingalicious in the sunshine. Mmmmmmmm..... sun n' sparklies. It doesn't get any better, IMO.

My brother and family recently visited Honolulu and want to move to somewhere, anywhere in HI now. LOL! It was their first visit to HI and they are *smitten* with the weather, the land, the people, the things you can do year 'round... And no snow.

OMgosh, Hawaii!!!! How fabulous! That beats Ontario winters and summer humidity FOR SURE!!
