Oh Jcent, my son never slept in his crib either. My mom got it for me as a baby shower gift and it was expensive so I always felt bad about him not using it. This baby WILL sleep in it lol! I found a pink paint called "ballet slipper," too cute!

Nikki, funnibunz are good too. I have both, and like them equally for girls. I have heard some people say that their boys did better in other brands though, although I think everyone loves Bum Genius, but when you find out, ask around if it is a boy.

Good luck with the crib PC, lol. I am not even bothering with it this time. Just a bassinet and then cosleeping. Unless of course this baby wants to be alone, lol, then I am screwed.

My husband made it very clear we will not have 2 kids in our bed. We have a queen right now and hardly fit, we'd have to upgrade to a California king lol!

we got one from our friend, its ebony, which i love so that will be fine. I am going to try and make at least some of the diapers to save on costs, they are soo expensive! I'm scouring our house for old t-shirts, sheets, flannels, and such. I hope to make at least half of the diapers we will need. That should save a pretty good chunk of change.

Cloth in general will save sooooo much money. But making half, you will really save bundle. And if you do buy some, then you can use the liners that come with them in your own, so that they will be more absorbant.

PC, we have a king, and set a double up in the "kids" room so I am trying to work out how it will work exactly. I would like it if my DD would randomly decide she wanted to be in her bed...even in DH or myself had to lay down with her there until she fell asleep. But she just likes to jump on that bed so far, lol. "the family" bed is the sleeping bed in her eyes. Worst case, DH said he will sleep in the other room and have an entire bed to himself, lol.

I upgraded my sons bed to a twin, he thinks its a toy. I layed with him until he fell asleep a couple times but he wakes up at 3am and walks down the hall to our room. I think when hes ready he'll stay in there, same with potty training. I mean, he did give up his binky on his own, cold turkey, just didnt want it anymore. Maybe I just got lucky with that?!

I have no answers, lol. We are done potty training, but I did a combo of EC and traditional toilet training, so we started early and were done early...before she really had an aversion or such a stubborn streak. I think eventually they will just want to sleep on their own, but it could be when they are 5 or 6, lol. Or it could be tomorrow. My DD loves her new bed now though, just not for sleeping.

on another note, last doc appt I was mortified when my doc announced my weight right in front of DH. She said it natter of factly stating that i was withing normal range for gaining. Ugh!
