I had several rather interesting encounters in the Mall today. I went to check out what a 3mm band would look like with my ring.

The ladies in Kay Jewelers did not believe that my ring was not a diamond when I told them after the 10th time they commented on how beautiful it was. I handed it to the manger and told her to loupe it. She was beside herself.

Same thing happened in another Jewelery store. My daughter thought it was pretty funny and asked if we could go to another mall and confuse people. lol

Thats fun!!

Same thing here with my regular OEC moissanite.....the mall jewelers all thought it was real!

The funny thing was when a lady asked me how much it cost and told her. She looked at the lady in Kay and asked how come they didn't carry those? She could have a lot more ring!!

The lady said Kay used to carry Moissanite. I didn't know that they did.

It looks soooo white! I love the setting. Are any of these photos taken in overcast? Some of the pictures show a warmth but I really like it!

Not really overcast, just end of the day. I started when the sun was at late afternoon glare in your face and ended about an hour later.

These were taken in Alameda, CA right on San Francisco Bay. You can see the sky in some of them.

The warmth may because I changed the camera settings mid way through on a whim. I changed the Light setting from full sun to auto.

I must say that is very white for a moissanite! there is a hint of color but I'm betting it's very white most of the time? Looks awesome! I love a cushion! I love the jewelry store comments, I wonder sometimes where they find these people? I always thought you actually needed to know something about jewelery to work in those places? LOL
