morning glory Connoisseur Registered: 05/05/11 Posts: 2022	A friend of mine was having her IL's for Thanksgiving for the first time. She called me around 10am Thanksgiving morning to ask how long she should roast her turkey. "How much does it weigh?" "Well I don't know, let me get it out of the freezer and check." This same friend had moved to the area a year or so before we did. They were having a hard time meeting people so she answered an ad in the paper for a couple looking for another couple to be 'friends'. Imagine her husbands surprise when he got home and she told him what she had done!! LOL..she was a dangerous combination of naive and dim.

Well, Sparklee, being from Brazil the things people ask me are not too far from your, examples: - "How come you are not dark??" Well, FYI Brasil is JUST like the US when it comes to races...MANY different country migrated to Brasil years ago...I am half Italian half German..NOT one bit Indian as in from a tribe in the Amazon LOL - "Do you guys have drinking water????" - "Do you have cell phones down there?" - "Do you have a President?" - "Is Brasil close to Russia?" OMG people, geographyyyyy LOL The dumbness is endless..lol People have this image that in Brasil there are only naked people dancing or Indians hunting in the Amazon...and snakes. LOL Brasil is VERY welcome economically and VERY much so one of the most modern countries these days. YES we have the bad, poor, rough areas too. The class was talking about the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il. The one sweet, but ditsy girl in class suddenly noticed that another student, a Chinese girl, was absent. She suddenly exclaimed, "Oh my God, she's dead? When did she die? We should all sign a card for Kim!" DD said the class was so quiet for a moment just looking at each other, you could hear crickets.
