Words of wisdom. I regard it as a bonus if my husband does this sort of thing, but I spoil myself, too--just like buying myself flowers when I want them. If you don't love yourself, who will?

Exactly, Melodypond... I was married to a non gift giver, so I learned early to take care of myself, push presetnts and all... Treat yourself, get the ring, and if the time comes when you actually need a ring, get a new ring! Win-win situation to me. grin

I WAS married to a gift-giver but now the same man has become a non-gift giver. Too bad now, a mortgage and 2 kids later I can't afford to treat myself the way i would like! frown I say BUY THAT RING while there isn't anyone around who will tell you NOT TO!

cherokeegirl, I am pretty sure you can collect your push presents well after you pushed. The pain lives forever in your mind, so as long as you still remember it, you still deserve the pressie. wink
hahahaha not sure I can get that one *approved* hahahaha

Good gosh I'm only 25, I sure hope I'll get married again since I would like a family smile and NO I will NOT settle just to get that. Terrible enablers! I should have known the answer already LOL!
