I was thinking that maybe I should just keep all of this a secret until I have it in my hands due to the supposed "impatience" of everyone here, but nah. I'll bring you guys with me through the process.
So. Bought the Asha on Monday. Arrived today. Wow. Gorgeous.
Went into David Klass' shop (I live about 45 minutes from the LA Jewelry District). I had already contacted him once in regards to a custom quote, and though I changed my design significantly, he didn't mind. 30 minutes later as I left, I felt AWESOME about letting him work on the ring. Not only did he really take his time with me, explaining any and all questions I had, but his other stuff was pretty breathtaking; even for the uber-perfectionist that I am. Oh, and again, he quoted me about half what other companies wanted.
So...yeah. Haven't even gotten a CAD design yet, but I'm freaking excited, and as of right now, my initial impression is extremely favorable. We'll see what happens when I hold the ring in my hand in about 3 weeks...
=D
