I would ask because that stone is so pretty- asking is the only way to be sure I could get one. However, I can see the flashes of color in the photo, so it must be a real sparkler with lots of fire. I personally do not like to all out fib about things. I would say it is a blue zircon (I know that is another mined gem, but I would think of it as an abbrevation.) Also, blue zircon is very sparkly with lots of fire too.

People ask me that sometimes too. I really think they are just curious, because they think it is pretty and they didn't know you could get a stone like that.
