So I've been racking my brain on a way to change up my e-ring AND be able to utilize some antique cut mossanites. Well I was looking on Leon Mege's site to get some inspiration because he has some really beautiful three stone sapphire rings. Then I ran across this beauty. [img:left] [/img] For reference my BTD sapphire is 9x7.5, and I would love to set it east/west still. Do you think I could use 3mm rose cut mossanites for the halo?? Or will the color of the moissys be too warm? I love the ring, so gorgeous and antique looking!! I would prefer a plain shank though. What do you ladies think?

I would use some OEC moissies personally, I just think they are prettier. but if you love the rose cuts and don't mind the warmth, go for it. Have you seen a sapphire with warm stones set beside it? JbEG had one with M coloured diamonds. I will tryt o find it, but if I can't maybe someone else knows the ring I am talking about. Anyway, I thought the M was too yellow beside the blue to be really pretty. I like the contrast of white stones beside the blue. I can't find it, but I know NIkkikeith knows the ring I mean.... maybe she remembers where it is

With the 3mm OECs being $80 per piece, it would take me years to save up for that! But OECs would be my first choice too Jcent. Rose cuts are much less expensive, closer the cost of the 3mm RB moissy.

I like the rose cuts (the little I have seen of them) and don't think a bit of warmth distracts from the sapphire. Have been drooling over these earrings ~Red

This ring was one of my dream choices. When I was hoping for more of an oval cushion I messaged DK about halo'ing it with 3mm rose-cuts, he thought it would have been too big, lol. I'm doing this ring in the future, but it won't look exactly like this. ;)I messaged kanga this exact ring earlier this week and she is the only one who knows my plan. hehe.
I've been trying to get rose cuts since early last year! Originally I wanted a huge 8mm moissy one. Had trouble getting it and moved on. Now I'm seeing them on etsy in smaller sizes. The only thing I'm worried about now with the moissy is the color. Sure, 3mm is small, but a bunch of them together may show the green more noticeably. But the upside is you can get that many in matching sizes. That's a plus.

I'm just dying for a moissy is what my problem is! lol....I love that DK already thought it would be too big, I wonder what it looks like on the hand. Come on Leon we need hand shots!! I found this other ring, I think I could use 5mm moissy's as the side stones. I don't love the gallery, but the idea is beautiful. [img:left] [/img]
