I don't have any great ideas or grand advice, kanga. I just want you to know that I've been following your story and my heart goes out to you. I don't like the higher-topped center stone, either, and would be just as upset. Little things do make a big difference. Hang in there and kiss the roos until you can get your Asha put back in and have the perfection you deserve.

You girls are just so wonderful.

Its so hard to not be really sad about the whole thing...
My ring saga has been such a long story,..and no happy ending yet.

I cant believe I have to send her back again too. frown

I feel like taking a break from all this,..but I would miss you girls so much.

And really,.I didn't think I was asking a lot...Just my one perfect E-ring,..since my original was lost..and this being my 25th anniversary present.
I don't get to have a bunch of other rings,..cuz we just cant afford it,.so she is my only special one.

Sorry for the pity party.
Love you girls.

Oh Kanga, I'm so sorry about all of this. I honestly think your ring is beautiful. But not to worry! You will have your asha back in it soon. Hugs!!! I love the videos with your roos, btw. So cute scratching their chins!!!!

I think we so often set ourselves up for complications when we set out to create something perfect and meaningful and timed just right. Jewelry is so personal to start with, and then tie in family diamonds (if I remember correctly?), and the fact that it's a wedding right that symbolizes a milestone anniversary... it almost feels like a relationship analogy where if you force the process, it will force back and there will be conflict, but if you love it with breathing room, it meets you with the same cooperation.

Do I sound like a New Ager who sleeps with crystals under my pillow at night? smile Nope, just my Amora.

If you go, I will come out there and kick your butt until you return. We need you here!

Awww frown I hate to see you so sad Kanga..

You truly DO deserve that one beautiful, special, heart warming e-ring that is perfect in your eyes.

It doesn't matter that I think your OEC looks stunning in the setting, or that I think if it were opened a bit ad the girdle covered up it would look even better, what matters is that this ring needs to be all that you dreamed it to be!

You have worked so hard on it, and I know just how you feel because of my RB/OEC dilemma that was on-going for so long.

My little rant is just to let you know that I am here for you, and that even if you have to put your asha back in, the ring will be beautiful, and eventually you might even be able to put your store credit toward the Amora OEC (I know you said you didn't want this, but I have a feeling that maybe time will change your mind).

Kanga, lots of love to you!!!

I think Hadley had some wonderful words and I would like to add: jewelry is supposed to be fun, but it can be stressful and expensive when projects aren't what we expected. I really hope it all works out for you, you are such a nice person and this is a special ring.

smile and frown

If DK cannot lower the stone to where your asha was, I would consider the 7.5mm OEC, that will also help with not covering part of the halo too. Might be the perfect compromise, and could possibly save you a bit of $$.

I agree with you, the girdle showing above the halo would bug me too.

oops I posted this before I saw that you don't like the crown on the Moiss. OEC either way, even set lower.

putting the Asha back and buying a back up is a great plan and.....like I've said a bazillion times, just don't wear it when you are working...LOL

You know what, your ring saga might not have a happy ending YET, but your 25 year marriage to your wonderful husband does. The adorable things he's done, seriously? In the grand scheme of things, your ring will be fixed to your liking eventually, but the sentiment behind the ring remains beautiful smile
