As I'm patiently waiting for my BF to be ready to give me an ACC asha, I bought this pretty little thang on amazon.com. It's a wedding set in platinum plated silver with a cushion cut CZ. Here's the product link.

Sorry the pics are so big, but I wanted to show the detail. Double prongs!! It's very small and delicate. The ACC makes a comparison appearance too smile There's obviously no comparison between the 7mm ACC and this 6mm CZ but I do like the setting and it was fun to see it on my finger.

I think it is very pretty...maybe someone can weigh in but I wonder if the center stone could be changed out? I love the last pic of the profile! Gorgeous shot! The profile shots get me everytime!

Really liking the setting, but the CZ does look a little cloudy.

That's just what I was noticing... there looks to be plenty enough prong there to be able to change the stone out..

... Love the setting.... I think the center stone might just need a good cleaning.... wink

That mount is stunning! Not to long ago I popped a cz out of a mount, and replaced it with a ChrisCZ. I used a large razor blade, needle nose pliers wrapped in electrical tape, and a wooden semi dowel. I balanced the ring on the dowel, then I used the razor blade to slightly lift all the claws equally and shook out the cz. Then I wiggled in the new ChrisCZ, and gently pushed the claws down with the pliers until they were even and the stone didn't jiggle. I wouldn't attempt it with an Asha though. It took me about 30 mins all together smile

wow, missnina, those are some mad jeweler skills!! I wouldn't attempt that, I'm too much of a klutz.

The stone doesn't actually look as cloudy IRL as it does in my mega-zoomed iphone pics. The ACC looks a little blurry too in the pics, I noticed. I won't be changing out the stone, this was just a fun piece to get while I'm waiting for my real e-ring. I also wanted to show my BF something IRL instead of showing him tons of pictures. I really haven't seen much like this in local jewelry stores to be able to show him. I haven't decided if I'm keeping it as a play/travel ring or not. It wasn't exactly cheap and it only came in whole sizes so it's a little big. Not sure if I want to go thru getting it sized. But it's fun for right now!!

I would keep it too. It's nice to have a fun/travel set. As for being a bit big. That's ok. If your fingers swell in the heat, then that little bit of extra room is nice.

Also, if that ring set is basically the design you'd like for your "real" wedding set, you have a live example to show a jeweler to copy and/or modify.
