First I would like to thank the Academy...ha ha, kidding!
Details:
- 8mm OEC Moissanite (unenhanced)
- Setting & bands by Etsy vendor Silverwoods
- 18k yellow gold (brushed satin finish)
- Burnished champagne & cognac natural diamonds - ranging from quite light to dark but all of them are very sparkly!
- My finger size is about 5.5ish, but the bands are 6.5.
First thoughts are: love 'em!
Though the OEC is the same size as my sapphire, it seems so big right now (not helped my not having worn a stone for over a month!). I am already used to it after an hour though, ha ha. Definitely would not go bigger though, the bezel adds only a little but it is more than enough. This already pushes my preference for "understated" to the limit!
Indoors under lighting I get lots of bright rainbows, outdoors in sunlight more pastels (as seen in pics).
The faceting is great. I can see it so much easier in this size than in my pendant/earrings. I can see the little flowery look. I just love the crown height of this stone. It makes it so much more interesting for me (especially in a bezel when I cannot see the side).
I have not decided how to wear them yet. I like the three bands but it does add a lot of width. Some days I may just opt for one band either side, though I DO love lots of width.
Incredibly impressed with the craftmanship. Guido (of Silverwoods) is truly an artist. The bands themselves are beautiful, and interesting as they vary due to the differeing sizes of the diamonds and how he places them (in 1s, 2s, and 3s). I really wanted an organic and "artistic" look and I think that was well accomplished. I do feel like I am wearing something very special and unique (at least around where I live!).
Now on to the pics, I have many, but I tried to "narrow" it down! I was wearing a black shirt with a green scarf while taking most of these.
Bit of fun reflection of my green scarf in the sun:

Okay, my husband's computer drives me nuts, so this is enough pictures, ha ha! If anyone has any questions or wants some more specific pictures, ask, as I may have some already taken.
