I've looked at pics of your asscher in the tulip setting! (Been hunting down all the tulip pics I can find!) I never would have guessed the shank was only 2mm, but that makes me feel better because I think yours looks lovely. I was just worried about the base of the head being wider than the shank and maybe looking...unbalanced? Thanks for the info. smile

slammerkin, if you have seen the pics of Theresa's tulip ring, that is mine now. I love the tulip set and really want one on a 2mm shank.

here is a thread where she posted pics, showing where the head comes to the band.

Your welcome... it really is a gorgeous setting... but yes.. I would say it's just a little over the 2mm... 2.2 or 2.3 ..

.... you'll love it... smile

i had some questions about this too, and the live chat on moiss co wasn't especially helpful because they didn't have measurements, they said you had to email the sales dept for that. i wanted a very thin band (1.8mm) and really wanted a different prong setting, but since i got mixed advice i decided to go with standard prongs. i think the tulip head is soooo beautiful though, but i do think you'd need a wider band.

In that case a 2.5 would probably be just right!

Thanks Suz! That does look a bit thicker than I would like, but roogirl's looks just about right.

I tried the live chat on AD got the same response - to email sales. I did send an email so I'll report back on what they say!

Well AD got back to me and said the base of the tulip head is 2.5-3mm. I think the 2.5mm band will be ok.

Now to get my husband on board, lol. But first, vacation in Mexico starting tomorrow!
