While I agree with the general spirit of the thread, obtaining a really special/hard to come by/a million design changes/rare stone piece can be a journey! I have asked tons of people online for advice and help with contacts and other little details over the years, it only seems right that they should get a "Thank you!" when the finished product finally arrives.

I wanna just say that I was not thinking of anyone in particular here when I agreed about the academy awards sentiment but of another site that has an exclusive clique with a highly sought after Facebook invite that some it seems kiss those butts running it to be accepted into their inner circle. Those posts are very obvious butt kissing to "belong" I think so anyways.

I think it's perfectly appropriate to say thanks to those who have helped you along the way! And we do that here! But the thread I caught from the other site just made me pause for a sec as it was how it was said. It was just funny. So, I get what was being referred to. ;P I did read another old thread over there that was really nice to read. The gal had gotten an etsy ring and set it with a small spinel like stone. Everyone was giving her lots of sparkle love over it even though it was made of silver and gold. I love the ring too...next project, ;P.

I said I find it hilarious, nothing to get worked up over. I guess different people find different things funny

it's ok, shiny! I don't think anyone is getting worked up over it. Just trying to clarify that it's ok here. I think we go about it in a different way over here. And yes, they are funny over there, if not absolutely ridiculous. ;P

I, for one, am glad my journey is over. Countless hours spent in front of the computer. Going to retail stores and withholding the laughter until we were in the car. My house has suffered. Time to spring clean.

Now the waiting. Next worry? Getting a wedding band to go with her. Next year. I'm going to enjoy wearing HoT in the meantime...a lot.
