But I can see where it's probably a shock to your system when you're so used to your current stone. So maybe down just that little bit to the 6.5mm would hit the sweet spot of feeling like an upgrade but not feeling like too much???
Yeah, that's kind of what DH said. Why upgrade if you're not going to go bigger? I have no deadline, just impatience. I did take a little break and am feeling better. If I see them all in person, I'm sure it will be much easier to make the decision, and if that's what it takes, well then it's only $70. :-P

This is an easy size to wear. This set gets a lot of compliments, despite it's modest size. I tend to like a bit bigger, so OF I could do this set over again, I would have gone up. But this was our budget at the time, and now I am too attached, as it is my original. So I get my fill from bigger rocks in different rings. In no way is this too small though, imo. Most people would find it quite normal. Thank you so much. Very helpful. I have been googling 1 carat cushions, or a little larger, to get an idea. I totally get what you're saying about being "attached." I am still feeling that way with my original. It is stronger now that I am making the change. I have even thought about turning back (Ahhh). I asked DH when the final product comes, to propose to me again! LOL. That way every time I look at it, it's still special and not just a pretty ring. You know? He thinks I'm insane but he agreed. I have plans for a right hand ring with my current stone though.

You gals are the best! See, I think it looks better on her than on me LOL. I think it does make a difference that I am just using a make-shift ring (I removed a fake CZ from it, was about 2 carat equivalent). So the setting IS a bit off. I think I will go with the 1.4! For now anyways

I actually don't think the 7mm looks too big on your hand at all, and I'm even one of those people who does not ascribe to "bigger is better."
You know what's funny? I always thought I would be a bigger is better person. I like simplicity, big stone, simple setting. But now, I'm realizing I may not like BIGGER necessarily. Big, yes, bigger maybe not. haha. I will have more to say later on. Tomorrow I am sending back the 1.8 and will go from there. Thank you for all the input!

My dh proposed again, lol. Nothing takes the place of the original for me, but I wouldn't give back my additional sets either. do you still wear the original on your left ring finger occasionally?

Yup, I still wear it quite a lot actually. My other set have large stone, 9mm, so sometimes 6mm is just more convenient. I think I will always wear it in my rotation. I would feel sad not to. I sometimes do think about upgrading the center stone still...not to anything huge, just maybe something 7mm, 7.5mm max. But it makes me feel sad, so I haven't done it. If I ever get over that feeling sad though, I would just reset my stone in a pendant. I could never sell it. I never expected I would be this sentimental about it. The plan was always to upgrade, but when it came time to do it, I couldn't mess with it, so just got new ring instead.
