I LOVE IT! I toyed with the idea of getting an asscher during the last custom cutting, but the funds were not there. Looking at those photos I wish I had figured it out! Anyone have one they want to pass on? I know ya'll are sparklie hoarders. lol!

I totally recommend the Kashmir. I don`t have anything to really compare it to, as the only natural sapphire I have is white, but there is something about the stone that is just amazing. I showed it to a jeweler once and he asked me where it came from geographically, and was blown away that it was a lab stone.

Something tell's me that Kate has enough money to buy a diamond if she REALLY wants one for her right hand. Heh.

Regarding the kashmir sapphires from BTD, I want one of those next. I love the blue, it is perfect. I haven't ordered one because I haven't the slightest clue what I would set it in so I'll wait and think about it. It will eventually come to me.

What are you guys talking about?? Diana saw the sapphire ring in a shop window and wanted it. THAT was the scandal, that she picked her own engagement ring and just picked it out of a shop. Prince William asked Prince Harry if he could have their mothers ring to give the Kate as HARRY is the one that Diana gave the ring to after she died. I think William got her favorite watch or something like that. But apperantly William really wanted Kate to have his mothers ring so Harry sweetly handed it over.

I don't know where all this "she wasn't worthy" drama story is coming from...

I remember reading an interview with Diana in the 80's, and she had said that she picked the biggest sapphire in the case, and was sure the Queen would just turn beet red when she saw the size of it!

That's how I thought it went MsH. That Diana picked her own ring because she wanted to and the sapphire was the one she wanted.
Is it true that Charles didn't give her a ring at all when they were first engaged and that she picked the sapphire sometime later (before the official announcement)?
