This seems like an awesome alternative!

I'm a huge fan of gold filled because it LASTS. I'm sorely temped to try one out!

Thanks for sharing!! I just bought one, lol. My fingers are getting pretty puffy, so I justified it like that and bought a larger size, and the price is really good. I have metal allergies, so we will see how that goes, but it will give me a good idea of of I might like another in the future smile

I figure that it's stainless so there's a *decent* bet I could tolerate it better than some other metals. Anybody's guess what alloys are in there, but somehow I feel better that it's base is stainless. white gold gives me welts on my finger. I can do it in my ears, but not my hands.

Let me know how you like it!

i don't understand how you could have gold-filled-stainless-steel

as that seems... conflicting. gold plated stainless steel, sure.

maybe there is gold-filled-stainless, and i've just never seen it?

I will let you know smile I cannot wear w/g in my ears at all, and 14k welts my finger. My 19k set seems ok, but I never sleep in it or anything. Hoping for the best with the 18k gold filled, but if it doesn't work, $12.88 with shipping is an ok loss.

when it's gold filled it has to be bonded to a base metal. I figured they either meant that, or the rose gold and yellow gold was filled and the white gold was just stainless.

Either way, it seems a good price! I don't know the logistics of what CAN be the base metal to know if I'm far off...maybe Borismom would know?

ohhh, I hope the white is stainless, that would solve my w/g problem.
