I can't believe anyone would do this, how ungrateful!
What is wrong with some girls these days? As most of us here know it's not about the ring it's about the man. I would have been over the moon to have been given a 1.5ct diamond ring, as it happens I was still over the moon to be given a 0.20ct ring because it was given to me in love by THE love of my life. He still is after 30 years of marriage!
This is not a good way to start a marriage in my opinion.

I'm popping back in to say that I went and looked at the Wedding Bee discussion just now. It's like knowing there's a car accident over there and you can't help but turn your head to look. Did you catch mid-discussion that this girl's ring was over $17,000? Just wanted to kick start everyone's morning with a little heart attack. But we're the boards that aren't judgmental... we are not judgmental... we are not...

I caught that and almost spit out my coffee.
As a recent graduate I wouldn't know what to do with myself if my husband gave me a $17,000 ring knowing that that type of money would have made a sizeable dent in my student loans.
I've lurked here for awhile and as a newbie I feel much more at ease posting here as opposed to there and waiting for my head to be chopped off.

Oh no no, she didnt want to seem ungrateful, she just wanted to have her cake and eat it too. Ugh I'm still fuming over this girl and to hear the price of the diamond just makes it worse. Someone needs to smack some sense into her!!
