I have a legitimate question, has this ruined any future instances if someone were to approach you guys asking for permission to remake a ring WITH Mr dk?

ok that's not needed, the situation is deescalating, lets keep it that way!

More cookie pics! More cookie pics!

Sorry elf, some of us really do have unanswered questions and good points on the original topic. Like why was Mr. Klass the only one singled out?

No matter how many cookie photos are shown, it can't wipe out the very bad taste in my mouth left by Erica's accusations. She also chastised board members which was uncalled for and unprofessional, imo,

Rather than cookies, I think maybe we need some cheese to go with her "whine".

It has always been my opinion that one should err on the side of caution, and have the courtesy to contact the original owner/designer for permission to copy a piece.

No, it wasn't. I think it's time to lock this down.

Thank you, Grace. I'm not a fan of having my name splashed across the front page of a fiery thread (unless I deserved or earned it!).

I would like to add that the owner did not mean to stir up trouble. At the time, she was a new poster and I am sure she had NO IDEA that she would ruffle any feathers. I remember when I was new here and I had Amcor make a replica ring. Did I contact the original jeweler? No, and I didn't know better! I have no idea if Amcor contacted them either, for that matter... crap, now I'm wondering if I accidentally offended someone years ago! Anyway, we shouldn't assume that everyone out there knows jewelry etiquette. Regardless, I’m happy that btrflai is enjoying her ring and I hope she continues to enjoy it after this thread.

Oops, I missed a lot while I was driving home! Nice to see we're in the "cool down" phase. Well, most of us anyway. wink
