just curious, would an 8mm round(2ct) show more warmth than a 7.5mm(1.5ct)? if u have one of these size stones could you pitch in also, would 2 cts be overwhelming on a size 6 finger, i have small hands&short fingers lol

I think both are graded at H, so both will show the same warmth. And I am a 6, and think 8mm is just fine I actually think you can get away with 9mm, lol.

They will both face up about the same, nothing to make you worry about down sizing for any color difference. & I agree with Jcent. I'm a size 6 and will be wearing a 3ct (9mm), and I also have short fingers.I don't think it's overwhelming on me, just amazingly not underwhelming what so ever that's how I like to think of it as least!

I'm a size 5.75 with short fingers. I love a 2 ct center stone on me, as long as the band is delicate and simple, around 2mm or less. Any thicker than that and the ring just looks chunky, instead of sleek and graceful.

I have a 2ct (8mm) on a 5.25-5.5. 8mm is my personal sweet spot. I don't like much smaller or much bigger! Unlike kudzu though I love chunkier settings, I am not interested in dainty! I do not have many at a distance full handshots, but here you go (fyi, mine is unenhanced):
