Don't laugh at me, but have you tried doing nothing? LOL I had scheduled c-sections but was soooo relaxed about it, I actually went into labor with my second. All my friends said it was because I was so at ease about that my body relaxed and decided to focus on getting the baby out. My best friend ran around like a chicken for a week trying everything and finally said forget it. Two relaxed days later labor started.

Also, I know some here say they did it with good results but I'd check with the dr before the castor oil. I was told by both my dr and the pedi not to do it as at this stage it can affect the baby's bowels as well and you dont want that.

Thanks Elf. My midwives do the castor oil thing, so they do the dosage. They generally do it at 10 or 11 days past due, so I am hoping they know what they are doing with it. It is kind of a last resort for me, and really do not want it to come to that. But I want to avoid a hospital induction even more.

Every night now, I start cramping and having a really bad lower back ache. It goes on for hours and I have contractions pretty regularly. But come 6am, it all stops.

I am kind of excited for the acupuncture though. I also have sciatica issues right now, so I am thinking it may help with that...and maybe just be really relaxing. No toddler for an hour at least.

Isn't there a greater risk of dehydration with castor oil?

I think if you take enough of it, for sure there is.

My last labour I got so dehydrated from vomiting that even the IV specialist at the hospital could not get an IV in me, so the plan this time is to get an IV started asap. Not saying that is ideal, but with hypermemsis, hydration is ALWAYS an issue and something I have been getting treated for since about 9 or 10 weeks.

Oh ladies, I am in some pain. I took my son out for the day and when we got home, he took off running down the side walk toward the corner and wouldn't stop for anything. I chased after him, and luckily for me he tripped and fell so I could get my hands on him. Now I feel like insides are tearing away every time I take a step. I'm feeling pain all the way from my lower torso to the bottom of my butt. I think I'm just going to lay down for a while and see if that helps. I don't think this is any reason to go to the hospital??

ouch!!! I *think* it is probably some pulled ligaments...which are already stretched to their max. But definitely take it easy and if it gets worse, or bleeding, go to emerg.

I had to lunge a few days ago to stop DD from falling down the front steps, and something felt VERY bad when I did it. But it felt better the next day.

I checked earlier and no bleeding so I think I'll just take a Tylenol and take it easy for night.

I would ask how you're feeling, but that would be a dumb question lol!

lol, feeling big. But I am pretty zen about it at the moment, and really excited for acupuncture tomorrow. Stressing is not helping, so I will wait until Thursday to really start worrying.

They stuck me 24 times and ultimately the anesthesiologist had to start my IV! I feel your pain!
