Wahh! 9mm is cocktail size!? frown

Haha just kidding wink

I think what makes a ring look cocktail is if it looks big, ostentacious, and fake. That might just be me though.. Before I started getting really fanatical about jewelry I thought "BIG" meant cocktail, but I've seen some honkin' deliciousness around here that has really changed my perception of the term "cocktail". I use that word pretty much soley in conjunction with the mall's "claire" store type stuff now.

Cocktail rings really don't = cheap claire's stuff though smile

Cocktail rings are meant to be a statement piece. Usually assciated with dinner parties/events/gala dinners/whatever.

This is IMO anyway!

OP, it really depends on finger size and what you feel comfortable wearing.

I agree with Candi though, there is nothing wrong with a cocktail ring!! They ARE beautiful smile

My finger is an 8.5, so maybe that's why I'm thinking I may just be able to get away with it! Color this nice needs to have it's own county smile.

As someone with a 8.5 finger size also, I definitely think you would be able to carry it off without it looking like a cocktail ring.

LOL!!! Well, I had a couple other stops to make, but I worked it so I would go earlier hehehe.

It sure made the process easier! I've been wearing it since and am happy with the 8mm. When I get the 9mm tomorrow, I'll do the same and make my final decision laugh.

I'm getting the shenoa setting in a bit of an unorthodox way. More on that later. It's going to be so gorgeous!

I sure wish they had a 8.5mm! That would be perfect!

Heck no, it won't look like a cocktail ring! I'm trying to pass off a 15x10 oval emerald solitaire as an engagement ring, for goodness's sake! crazy
