After reading this thread, I decided I needed a college ring. I am doing diamonds and 14k pink gold, and it will end up being cheaper than what you have been quoted. Have you contacted Poppyseed?

part of the reason our quotes are coming in high is because we are really getting 3 rings in one. One ring would be a breeze!! I'm going to see how the quotes come in that are already in the works before I start round 3, lol.

Too bad she doesn't want stack rings, or maybe you can find 3 rings you like, then pay to have them put together?

I have some stack rings bookmarked as alternatives but I want to see this rolling ring to the end first. I think she'd rather have an engraved rolling ring (without stones) vs. stack rings and that would be reasonable as well.

There are some cute stack rings on etsy though. I like how this one is engraved on the edges instead of inside or outside.

Well, we are finally proceeding with this ring!!
DK will be making it. We sent an email this afternoon with the size and we are ready to go.
DD is excited now, we did find a cheapy ring to confirm the size and I can't get her to take it off. The one David is making will be so much nicer so I know she will love it. Yeah!!

DD's ring is supposed to be done by the end of this week. It's Thursday. I'm starting to stalk my e-mail. LOL.

DD is getting ready for finals and finishing up her class work/projects...I'm not sure she realizes it is supposed to be done this week. I'm not even sure she realizes much of anything with as much work as she has right now!!

DK also told us that he is using X1 white gold for his settings now. YEAH-no rhodium plating!!

It's DONE!!!
DD won't see it until late because she's at a charity walk tonight but you guys get a sneak peak!!

She wanted lighter blue sapphires but in some of the pictures they look VERY light. I know how hard it is to describe and photograph colors accurately but I've asked DK to clarify if they are actually BLUE, lol. I think she will LOVE it!!
