It's crazy they can tell an asha from a diamond just by a picture, that's scary! Actually they can't. Once there was an Asha Asscher posted that was accidently outed by us girls here because we were guessing based on the cut, and then someone lurking here saw us guessing and contacted the ring VENDOR and asked. The Vendor accidently outed the stone as an Asha and the girl was publicly shamed, they had a field day on PS, it was really over the top. And once I posted my ring there, because I was member of the Ladies in Waiting board and wanted to share my new ering with my friends there, eventually *I* got sick of the charade because I wanted to post my ring here, and a lurker here must have recognised my ring, because my thread was quietly deleted from PS - though no one "outed" me the mods just silently deleted the thread, I guess not to bring attention to the fact that dozens of PS'ers had been praising a stunning chunky antique stone which was a beautiful Asha ACC I dont think I have ever seen or heard of THEM identifying a Asha (or even a Moissy) by the photos? that's actually true. people have gotten caught, but not because someone could "tell."

There is one member there, who is actually extremely respected and loved (but she hasn't posted lately),that posted an obvious moissanite three stone ring posing it as a diamond ring, and she never got called out on it.She has a different ring now, btw. There is alsoo one member who was allowed to post her wedding set, even though she has an oval moissy as a center, because her wedding set is absolutely unique (and stunning),but I think she is the only one that was given that chance.

If you're going as far as contacting a vendor to ask what the stone on someone else's ring is, just to "out" them on a public forum, then you need to get a damn life and stop trolling the internet all day.

I remember that ring. It was beautiful. Asscher with a double halo of pink sapphires and colorless diamonds. Pics of it are still there, just not any of her threads/posts. That was a shame. ETA - by shame ^ I mean that she felt the need to pass off her sim as a diamond and then needed PS's validation of it. And a shame that someone went out of their way to out her, having a field day. You reap what you sow, and that's on both sides.

Oh, I totally remember that ring now! I had forgotten about the drama, but now that you mention it...I do remember it quite clearly.

BTD forum had a post about her ring, someone on here basically said it was an ASHA too. Yep, you're right.
