i like it. it's pretty. but - much like the ACC Asha - it's just a little too square for my preference.

*and* an 8.5mm Cushion Lab Blue Sapphire

(and a 7mm round diamond cut Avarra Kashmir)

Dana! I very much want to see your comparison! Do you see a big difference between Chris's lab sapphire and BTD's? I have some of Chris's CZ stones, and I think they are very well cut - I'd be interested to see if he is doing a rounder OMC cut.

bearing in mind that the stones are different cuts (cushion vs diamond cut round), i do see a difference in the colours. the 8.5mm sapphire is the "medium blue" (don't ask me now why i ordered that instead of "top blue" but i'm sure i had a reason!)

but the three are quite different in colour. the blue CZ OMC is more of a denim blue, the medium blue cushion is more of a, well, blue crayon sort of blue, and the Avarra Kashmir is a more purple sort of blue.

i found *a* battery charger so if it works, i'll try to take some comparison pictures tomorrow.

ok, so i spent a LONG time this afternoon trying to get good comparison pictures. i even attempted to take some outside, in the sunlight, but i just wasn't havin' much luck getting the hues of these blues right!

but i had a pair of 5mm Tanzanite Asschers, 8.5mm cushion medium blue, 8mm OMC blue sapphire coloured CZ - all from ChrisCZ - and a 7mm BTD Avarra Kashmir.
