Ah! It looks exactly like the setting that I just got for my sapphire. It does look like it's going as low as it can go with the stone size and so you can see the side gallery detail. Excited to see what you have coming : )

Because the stone is so deep, you really can't go much lower. It's perfect the way it is!

lol, I know what that is like. I don't like my rings to act as weapons with my babies either.

I'm sorry, I have no clue! That's what I get for letting my FI (at the time) take over the project at the end. lol...He wanted to have some element of surprise.

Just chiming in to say I also prefer DK's redesign. What a lovely ring it will be! I love the accentuated flourishes. I can't wait to see photos of the finished product!

Thanks for the input, ladies! I decided to go a different direction and have spent a bunch of hours tonight (can you tell by the time lol) putting it all together. It will be a combination of 3 different rings. I'll share cads when I get them. This one is going to put my original idea to shame! So excited!
