I dunno. I have cool undertones - can't wear earthy tones (ok I can wear some browns but that's about it), look my best in blues and pinks. But yellow gold looks really nice on my skin - particularly 14k which is a softer yellow. I think I can wear either yellow or white metals, but would never say I have warm undertones.

most of my jewelry is rose gold... which would give you a better idea of how any given piece would look in yellow gold, i would think, than trying to imagine it in yellow, based off of looking at it in white gold...

One way to tell if you have warm or cool undertones is to look at the insides of your wrists and underarms, do your veins look blue? You have cool undertones. Do they look greenish? You are warm.

I'm also a redhead (not born this way), and I have super fair skin, but my veins look really green! My skin is very warm. Yellow gold compleiments me perfectly, and even though I still wear a lot of silver and white gold, I look my best in yellow.

No, not fair, medium. I'm olive skinned with yellow undertones. I just think YG doesn't flatter my skin color.

Thank you very much PtyMom I guess I have more cool skin tone(?) It's not that I don't like white gold on myself it's just that I started my jewelry collection long ago and the first few pieces were yellow gold. I'm ocd about mixing, so I stuck with YG, lol.

Dana, I LOVE your rose gold rings, so pretty! I have a couple of Black Hills gold pieces I got when I was in South Dakota several years ago. They have rose gold in them which makes them very striking
