March is this Thursday! So the new batch will be available soon... I'm dying to know if these are still coated.

So what are the stones they have available for sale now, the ones people have already been buying? It's not confusing to say they aren't coated when SOME of them are, it is an outright deception.

C&C isn't saying they are releasing a new version, we are assuming so based on their statements that their stones aren't coated when they have already sold coated stones.

i'm just gonna sit and watch, I can speculate all I want but I getting more and more confused by the different statements coming from vendors I trust.

So, going by what has been presented by both BTD and C&C/Serenity..

Best case scenario: The FB is NOT coated and it seems that at least some of the orders for the FB going out (at least the ones MC and Less got) were filled from old Serenity coated stock. This is NOT okay.

Worst case scenario: I don't even want to think about it...somebody is lying, or is just willfully ignorant.

All very confusing...

What would this article mean then? It may not matter since it was written last month, but hmmmm...

Bronte, I think their investors are trying to figure this out just like we are. They have the same statements from c&c and the same info from serenity and the reports on the durability of the coatings. it doesn't seem to make sense. I do agree with the investors that c&c couldn't mess this up more if they were trying.

I'm also wondering who would buy the $10,000 FB moissanite they have for sale if it's found to be coated as are the ones that Less has.

So, it sounds like Forever Brilliant could have started out as a coating, and then they have since found a better method? If this is the case (and I'm not saying it is, I'm just speculating,) then it would still be wrong of them to be sending out the old stock under the description of the new product even if they were engraved with the same name. That would be like buying an Amora moissanite and being sent an enhanced coated moissanite instead, or buying a new Amora gem and being sent an Amora moissanite. No matter how nice it is, it is still not what you thought you were buying and what you paid for.

I don't have anything against serenity coated moissanite. I've seen many rings with the enhancement that are beautiful, and I love the colors they can produce. I would definitely buy an enhanced or colored stone from Schubachs or other reputable business if I was in the market, but the difference there is that I would know what I am buying.

If, by some stretch, Cree had devised a different method of creating different rough for C&C, I *certainly* hope that they are not infringing upon BTD's patent-pending process, and if they are, I hope they get to enjoy dealing with BTD / Less on the topic. Most interesting.....
