I think what you got was a domed band but you wanted a three sided band a bit thinner and a bit more angular vs rounded (with 3 distinct sides). It looks like about 4.5mm and maybe 3mm would be a good compromise given the large halo. Now whether you conveyed that clearly enough to Mr. Klass is really irrelevant at this point, as you are not as happy with the final product as you need to be. The ring as is, is beautiful no doubt, but that is not at issue here.
I find that my first impressions of things are usually correct. If you were going to love it you would have by now. Go with your gut.

Now whether you conveyed that clearly enough to Mr. Klass is really irrelevant at this point The relevance is in that others reading here may decide not to try to work with DK if they think he messed up vs he didn't understand what was wanted in the first place. The finished ring looks like the CAD which was approved. It's not necessarily right vs. wrong but a matter of clear communication and understanding for both parties. I've found that even IRL seeing the CAD's and wax it can be hard to imagine the final product. Even more difficult (for both vendor and customer!) when it is all done via internet, never meeting face to face or holding wax in hand.

Your point is well taken MG, let me clarify....what I meant was from OJ's perspective, it doesn't matter at this point whether she conveyed her design request clearly enough or not --- the bottom line is that she is unhappy with the final product. I didn't meant to imply that DK misinterpreted her request. I've found that even IRL seeing the CAD's and wax it can be hard to imagine the final product. Even more difficult (for both vendor and customer!) when it is all done via internet, never meeting face to face or holding wax in hand. Very true, and that is most likely why DK and some other online vendors graciously offer the option to return/exchange a ring even after the CAD is approved and the ring is delivered.

OLIVE! I LOVE your ring! It is SO sparkly, it is gorgeous! It really does look absolutely PERFECT on your hand. I understand why you prefer a three-sided shank as that makes it more square-ish to match the halo but I think, alternatively, it looks stunning the way it is. Thanks chicka:) I am pretty set on having the shank fixed. I emailed David so we shall see. I am hoping for the best....
