well thats horrible as if it isnt hard enough,
i went thru something similar with dd, everything i liked hubby didnt, we finally found one we both liked and went with it, hailey, i had never known anyone with that name but now i see girls all the time named hailey, which bothers me...
if your looking for something more unusual google exactly that, baby name books will usually just have the typical names..
some that i like that are uncommon, nya (n eye ah), arianna, nara(nah rah), maelie(my-lee)

Well since you guys like Paisley Mae, I'll tell you my last name so you can really tell me what you think. Her name would be Paisley Mae Blossom. Yes, like what flowers do lol! My mom tried to "apologize" by saying "if it were any other last name, I guess it'd be ok." I can't help who I fell in love with and married! When we were dating in H.S. I never thought "oh I wonder how that last name will affect my unborn children." LOL! Ok, now honest opinions now that you know the full name. Too cute? Too childish?

I know a girl who has a daughter named Quinn. Some other names to through out there of little girls I know: Avery Emory Harper Regardless of what you pick, don't tell anyone until the baby is born. Everyone will interject their opinion until there is a person it is attached to. Then, they won't say a word. what ever you decide, live with it a while. Say it out loud at home and try to image "name" 's room, bed, etc. One will feel right. We choose our 1st child's name 6 months before we were ready to try to conceive ... I'm a planner, ok?! ... but didn't tell a soul until he was in my arms.

I am not a mom and have never named a child, so I'm waaaay out of my league here. But here's what I always wish for myself... that I had ONE name, not a formal name and an informal version of it.
My driver's license says Tamara, but then I get flagged for being an uninsured driver because my insurance says Tammy. My passport says Tamara, but then I can't get on the plane because I bought the ticket with the credit card that says Tammy. My medical records can't be pulled into one file because some say Tamara and some say Tammy. My college applications had to be under Tammy to recognize my high school graduation, but I couldn't get student loans because my tax forms say Tamara. You get the picture.
So Paisley Mae sounds awesome to me. It's unique without being bizarre, and it's pretty without being overly flowery. And there's only one version of it. Sure, her friends will call her Pais in casual conversation here and there, like people call me Tam all the time. But when it comes to paperwork, she'll always be Paisley and just Paisley. Love.

I love Paisley! Forget what your om thinks..its YOUR daughter! I refuse to discuss name with my MIL anymore. Everyone finds out when baby is born. I can relate...I have a very "cutesy" last name too. Anytime I would suggest a girl name my MIL also says it sounds like a stripper...well, thanks for the last name! Go with Paisley Mae.

Also, I have a real "cutesy" last name, so any girl name I like ends up sounding like, excuse me, a stripper name. I'll tell you my last name... Blossom. Yes, like what flowers do lol! So *your* name here is Pink Blossom. Is there a stripper name in that? Whoa, I'm not going to touch that with a ten-foot pole. Doh! Now I added a pole to your visual!
