I prefer to think of it as a hobby vs addiction LOL
I have many engagement style rings. Really the only engagement ring is the one you got engaged with, the rest are just rings/ jewelry.

I never used to, but since I'm going with a sapphire ering, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a simply solitaire OEC or something LOL, just in case smile.

My DH and I are young (or so we'd like to think), in our mid-20s and early 30s. Although DH recently got promoted and I am finally graduating, people don't think we have much money. That being said, me sporting more than one e-ring will look suspect, and people will immediately assume that all of them are costume jewelry.

I kind of like one special ring that will always stay the same. When the Amora Gem comes out, I am planning on replicating my Asha e-ring so that I could have the exact same setting and everything. My DH chose the setting, and I chose the center so it's pretty special for us. I might change the metals for the ring (to Platinum), and the stone (from Asha to Amora), but I'm hoping it would be so identical it's almost as if I didn't change it. Then I'd keep the Asha e-ring as an e-ring for when we travel. ^_^ or maybe a pendant.

I am thoroughly convinced that those who believe you should only have one e-ring are those who have not been members here for long enough. smile

In the future I'd love to get another ering, but it'll probably be under the guise of an "anniversary ring," so maybe it will seem less weird to people.

I tend to be sentimental, and I'm quite sure that my original ering will always be my "primary" ring both in how often I wear and how I think about it. That's part of why I wanted to make sure I had it made pretty much perfectly the first time (except for the option of upgrading to an Amora gem down the road, but I'll probably be the only one to notice the change in the centerstone, if we're honest). I am not opposed, however, to the idea of owning other "engagement style" rings that I also wear on my left ring finger, especially if it's something given to me by my SO.

That said, I'd just do like you said and talk to him about it. Maybe it can be an anniversary or birthday gift sometime down the road! smile

Can I ask a REEAAAALLLLYYYY dumb question?
What does DH stand for? I have made it "designated husband " in my head, which makes me laugh and is surely not correct. Haha

DH: Dear Husband.

I have several rings that I wear on the finger traditionally reserved for an engagement ring. I only think of the one I got engaged with as "my engagement ring". I can't help what other people think so I don't worry about it.
