I am busted. I yank photos off of web pages and don't have a clue later where I pulled them from. I'm so sorry.

Somewhere out there is a source for the first one, but I'll be danged if I can point you there. I'm looking for it, too -- so if you find it, let me know. I'm forever amazed at how members here recognize ring styles and even photography, so maybe someone can help us out?

The second one, with the scroll work gallery, was a Bistro listing long ago (last summer?). Maybe, just maaaaybe, someone here knows the member who originally purchased it and can get you in touch with her?

Thanks! I like that idea of having the bottom exposed. Interesting.

I have long considered a bezel with the bottom exposed, but I've always been afraid of wearing a band next to it. If your band has stones, won't the top of the band stones rub against the bottom of the solitaire stone, thereby damaging one another? And if you wear a plain gold band, won't the bottom of the solitaire stone eat the life out of the gold band?

Even if you don't wear your rings loose and floppy, there's still going to be some up-and-down and back-and-forth when you live your life and use your hands in the process. Is this just paranoia?

Hadley, I don't understand how that could happen. How would the band get under the solitaire stone?

For instance, I have a 7.5mm solitaire stone. That means that half-way down the height of the stone it's about 4mm wide. If the shank of my ring is only 2mm wide, that leaves 2mm of stone unprotected. And for someone like me who wears their rings loose to accommodate heat and salt intake swelling, my band regularly pushes up beyond the half-way point of my solitaire stone. Does that make sense?
