I ended up selling my Moissanite OEC (not amorized) but not because of the color, I just didn't love it when I compared it to my OEC diamond or my NOP interlap OEC. Maybe I got a dud, but it just did not have much fire, or personality and the facets appeared fuzzy. It also had a dark weird bullseye effect in the center which bothered me a lot. I love the interlap (lizzie) and of course I adore my diamond.

I may take another chance on the OEC amora gem, but wouldn't buy another Moiss OEC.

By the way, the title of this thread made me LOL.

Maybe some of the difference in the moissy/Amora OECs that some of the members here have gotten is due to slight differences in cut? C&C doesn't seem to be completely consistent, especially with the varying culet sizes.

I'm willing to concede l may have gotten a dud.

This is the only Moissanite OEC I've seen and the cut was beautiful in all lighting. Not fuzzy, no darkness, so I'd be interested to know if others have received stones like this.

Poppyseed, was there a BTD thread with pics of your stone? Can you point me to it? I'd be curious to see how yours was cut. Thanks!

OoooShiny, have you tried the Asha OMC? We've seen the OEC's and I understand exactly what you mean when you say it's a bit flat at certain angles. The OMC's don't do this - the cut is fantastic.

I fail to see how that is a "shocking blasphemy," lol, because on this board most of the people are very understanding about the mental aspect of sims, but okay...

Nevertheless, this is exactly what I was talking about in another post. I feel as though, had you been sold an Amora or an Asha but was told it was a diamond, you would just think the "diamond" simply had personality. Little characteristics that make it unique. It's just that we know that it isn't a diamond that gets us subtly freaked out that SOMEBODY will eventually call us out and we fear that. For whatever irrational reason, we fear the diamond industry a bit, too, because the mindset is so universal that diamonds are the one and only "true" option, and we fear being labeled with a "scarlet letter" for having a different shiny rock than what everybody thinks it should be.

It actually looks better in the pictures than in real life, the picture with the ring looks more accurate, than the loose stone photos.

Maybe they've tweaked the cut between runs? I do see what you're talking about. If you look at the videos I took, you can see that the stone I photographed looks different from the one you posted. There's the culet difference, which leads me to wonder if they altered the cut.
