I have avoided czs due to the blue tint you see in the sun. Do the light yellow winkczs still have this or does it eliminate it?

I had a three stone ring with ly OECs and I don't recall seeing any of the "blue" tint you are talking about... It was a gorgeous ring and the only reason I sold it was because it was an antique setting and I prefer more modern settings, but the stones were gorgeous... and btw, I lived in the high desert in California at the time, so I got plenty of sun!

i think of "colourless" CZs

... i mean truly colourless ones. not the Asha, or Light Yellow, or Warm White, etc, but the true "D" colour CZs, like the regular white ChrisCZs, or Diamonique, Signity, etc....

i think of them like marshmallow fluff. it's white. yes? jar of white goop?

but do you know what's used to give it that white colour?

so i think of colourless CZs as being tinted with (the CZ equivalent of) Blue #1. so white that they're blue at times.



....but remember, too, that a well-cut stone will reflect what's around it. so if you're under a blue sky = blue reflection in the stone.

I have seen a few LY stones and was really drawn to them, but don't remember what happened in direct sun. I just remember the colorless stones looking really blue in direct sun. They are always beautiful in the shade.

No, there are no blue tints on my LY stones from wink. I hate that blue tint too, so I always bake my colorless stones for a few hours in the oven to make them not so white and better looking!
