really? I thought it was? I just picked up a pair of hoops (my ears really are starting to hate most earrings sadly) and the red on my lobes etc. all but cleared up within a couple days. :0) Not that I'm getting rid of my sparkly earrings...just wearing them less frequently.

My hubby has a tungsten carbide ring that is all faceted. I gave it to him for our 15th anniversary I believe...and we just celebrated our 23rd and that ring looks the same as the day I gave it to him (not even ONE scratch). I bought it a little larger than he usually wears and he finds it SO comfy he never wears his original ring anymore. The style I chose is maybe a hair wider than the bands you chose as examples and it is completely faceted (all the way around) and shines like the sun. He gets complimented on it all the time. One time he left it in the men's room after washing his hands and whomever found it knew it was his! brought it right back to him. No skin reactions and he wears it all the time. Only takes it off to work around the house and play golf.

A certain type of surgical stainless steel is hypoallergenic, but I cannot remember the "number" of it. It's the recommended type for body piercing. A quick Google would probably show it as well.

Right now I'm totally digging damascus steel so the 3rd one is my choice and I love the small stone, agree that it looks like a wedding band and not fashion.

My husband has 2 rings. He never liked the gold one I bought him; so I sold it for scrap and he picked the two he wears now. Tungsten and Titanium. The Ti one is his go-to when it is warm, because it is so light. The Tungsten is the one he wears the vast majority of the time.

SO, get the one that makes you say, "cool" now and in five years get another one that you like. Just get one for futureMrs.Nick in five years too! smile

I think you need surgical grade stainless for it to be hypoallergenic. I am not 100% sure of this though. E.Taylor has posted about this before though...

We just placed an order for these Tungsten rings about 30 seconds ago as our "traveling" wedding ands. They are Tungsten and Rose gold. They are the only his and her set I liked that I've seen in the last 12 months or so. Pics below:

and hers

I'll toss you the link. We needed something for traveling that way if we get mugged or something I won't be heartbroken over the loss lol. They were MORE than decently priced too. Click me for cheap awesomeness.

Wow. No kidding about "cheap awesomeness!"

I like this setup. Men have to pay for a much more expensive ring for the woman, and the women have to buy the men a cheap ring, but also a Lamborghini, right? XD
