Seriously!

I'm finalizing changes on my cad and DK said it would be $350 to cast in separate golds. He offered up the idea of painting the gallery detail in rose gold and said it would need to be touched up every few years. The area that would be painted is all the way around the gallery, but not on any part that would get knocked about constantly. I guess it's similar to rhodium. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Has anyone ever had that done?

I guess the one good this is if I decided I was tired of it, I could just have it polished off LOL.

Joyce just did that with her ring that DK made for her.

I would be tempted to pay more now and not have to worry about it ever again, but JMO.

In all honesty, i would rather have a ring with as low as maintenance as possible BUT, it's your ring....

How much does it cost to repaint? plus shipping? And he says every 2 years, but does that mean it looks good for 2 years, and then you can just start to notice? or does that mean after 2 years it is uneven and worn looking and it has been bugging you for a year?

Exactly, I am SUCH a detailed person that I noticed everything. I'm going to guess that I could tell it was painted. I could definitely tell if it starts to wear. I have a hard time believing that it wouldn't show wear for 2 years. So, I'm likely going to go with all WG or pay. Time to stare at pictures and get it figured out LOL.

I just like all the deatils to decide. $350 is an extra chunk now, for sure, but over the years it could add up to that or more. Plus the annoyance if it wears unevenly or something. So I would just ask lots of questions.
