I love big stones. They make me look thinner!

On a serious note though, i would say my min has been 8mm, max 9.3. I just hover at that range.

As long as you have a decent sim, why go small? As long as you keep it real, if you want to that is...

I'm also in the 9-10 mm range with sims/gem stones. I am a 6.5 in size.

I agree with Poppyseed. for clear stones I go 7-8mm, but for colored stones, I feel like you can get away with a larger size. I would go for 8-10mm for colored stone.

For clear stones I prefer 6mm but for coloured around 7mm.

Well, I have 2 diamonds approx 8mm each. Sometimes, I want to go larger, but other times they are big enough- if not too big.

In a Sim, I would do 8mm or smaller, as I think I would be too insecure to rock a 10mm or 11mm stone.

I'm at 9 mm and got there after having 7.5 on my size 7 finger and feeling like it just wasn't enough at all. It was also due to the fact that my older wedding set provides really great side to side finger coverage since both bands are 5 stones with ovals of varying sizes. It was really difficult to go to a solitary stone and feel like it was barely there. I'd say I'll be fairly happy here up to a 10/10.5 mm in a solitaire, would go to an 8 or so in a halo or other type ring where there is lots of "extra" coverage.

As for believability, not so very long ago I could have bought multiple stones in those sizes, then lots of life hit us hard and we aren't quite back to that yet. I wouldn't choose to do that with our money regardless (well, maybe *one* 9 mm ) but everyone who knows me assumes that I could still do so, and I doubt anyone questions.

I like between a 6-7.5mm stone. I have an 8 but it just looks to big on my finger I think, and I wear an 8! I think it just comes down to personal preference and what just feels good on your finger. I do love to look at all the big stones though.

For me personally I prefer an 8mm in a clear stone and for colored stones I have some up to 12mm. I'm a size 7.5 to 8 finger. Like the others have said there are a lot of variables, personal choice, lifestyle, etc.
