Oh Olive!! That's a fabulous idea for some of those old TV armoires I see junked!! I don't need one but I might have to make one!!
I've got a few projects in the works. I recently finished a coffee table make-over. I also cobbled together pieces from 2 light fixtures to make a new pendant for above the table. Square wood trim, wood glue and staples made a large square shade for the pendant.
I took pictures but now can't find them...they are here somewhere, lol. When I find them I'll post them.
I have an end table I'll be working on next (after I finish staining bathroom cabinets). My family named it 'Ugly Table' and I have to say it is true right now. No one would buy it from Habitat store so they sold it to me for $1.50.
After that is a wonderful bow front dresser that I rescued from Salvation Army. It's my hall table now but also needs a make over.
And then there is the huge, low 70's coffee table that is now a bench in my foyer. I have the cushion on top but it still needs to be painted.
No, I'm not done yet. I'm going to redo the mantle and I have a table and 6 chairs to finish too.
Basically, I got tired of my furniture one day. It was all southwestern, rustic and iron and we'd had it forever. So, I either made plans to refinish it or I replaced it with pieces that are solid but need love...and were cheap. Replacing and planning are the easy parts. Actually getting everything done will take me the summer.
Oh, and I REALLY want to build this pedestal for my washer/dryer. I have a small laundry room so putting baskets under will free up some floor space. Do you see how the baskets are actually on a roll out shelf? GENIUS!!!
Do you think I have enough to keep busy this summer???
