So I know this is bad, but I don't even have my solitaire and I already want to start planning a 5 stone. What is wrong with me?!?! I must have sparkly-itus! lol....

I have some ideas but I want some opinions before I send the inspiration to DK. This project will be awhile in the making because I will need to replenish my savings before I can even begin to think about this baby. Isn't planning fun though?!

This is sort of what I have in mind as far as finger coverage and what it will look like wearing a 5 stone next to a larger solitaire.

First I will show my "Inspiration Board" I put together so you can get an idea of my thought process, then I will post some larger pics of some of the inspiration rings.

Inspiration Board

Victor Canera trellis 5 stone that really incorporates a lot of what I am looking to have, except that mine will be MUCH smaller and all my stones will be the same size.

Hand shot!! I LOVE it!! love I also really love that carved band. Originally I wanted to pair something similar to it with my solitaire. I may still do that on less blingy days, or maybe just have a stack!

My main priority is that the band be really low set. I also want the finger coverage of course! I want it to look like it could be an eternity band so the design will need to sort of wrap around my finger.

Any and all opinions welcome!!

Do you want the five stone and the solitaire to really match? You could do the little curly q's as a shared prong between the stones. That would be cute.

Yes, I wanted them to relate, if they can't match perfectly.

So if it were me, I would do the milegrain "under bezels" like the DBL version of the trellis five stone in white gold. Then I would use rose gold to do the little swirly things as shared prongs between the stones. And I would do the pretty engraving you liked on the band of the original five stone you posted..

I think your idea is good and I agree with TIL's suggestion of the bezels being in WG, and the rest in RG. Go to it!!!

I really love that carved band too and have seen it somewhere before as well, but I don't remember. Do you know where to get one?

I like the idea of a 5 stone smile And integrating them together somehow. I like non matchy matchy though too, so something complimentary, but not a *perfect* match would look perfect, IMO. wink

I don't know where that one is from. The pics are from PS but I don't remember that thread talking about the band. I'm probably going to have DK make one for me in 18k unplated WG.

That was my thought, have them be similar in style but not match too much. I just want them to relate.

I love the under bezels!! The double miligrain under bezels will definitely be incorporated. That is probably my favorite aspect of the ring. I will do those in 18k unplated WG and then the shank will be in 18k yellow gold. That is the same design I am doing for my e-ring. Then I was thinking that I would stack it with a carved band in 18k unplated WG. Would that be too much? I wonder if it will be too wide? And will the carved band have to go ontop or bottom, because I don't think it would look right between the e-ring and the 5 stone.
